Last night Labour made history by electing the first ever Labour MP in Bournemouth West.
Jessica beat Conor Burns by more than 3,000 votes.
In her acceptance speech she paid tribute to her team and to her predecessor Sir Conor Burns. She also thanked the people of Bournemouth for putting their faither in here:
"The community that has elected me and a changed Labour Party has chosen hope and belief in a better Bournemouth and a brighter future for the country.
You have chosen economic security and cheaper bills, the chance to get your children on the housing ladder, safer streets in our town centre and all our neighbourhoods, an NHS that is fit for the future and better opportunities for all our children from Westbourne to West Howe.
The Labour Party has been honest about the scale of the challenges we face and the practical steps we need to fix them.
There is no magic wand but I am optimistic about the future because of the people I have met across this constituency; the local businesses and creatives, community leaders who are all playing their part to build a brighter future.
Many of you have waited your entire lifetime to see a Labour MP here; just as many have never voted Labour. Thank you for putting your trust in me and the Labour Party to change the country. I stand here to represent you all as well those who did not.
Throughout our campaign I have sought to demonstrate the type of MP I want to be for you - I have sworn to work hard, be open and accessible and bring honesty, transparency and integrity back into politics. Politics to me is working with communities to solve our collective problems. I will fight to ensure Bournemouth reaches the potential we all know it has. I know it can happen if we all work together."
